The Role of Probus in Your Retirement

Retirement can mean many things to different individuals. For some it is a chance to give back to the community via volunteering or charitable pursuits.  For others more time to play golf or just time to relax and perhaps see the world.

Probus is focussed towards acquaintance, fellowship, contact and expanding knowledge, free from the constraints of politics, religion, fundraising and competition, in the company of like minded retirees.  As such it can be your only retirement club or a very healthy addition to other pursuits.

Beecroft Probus was established in 1981, almost 40 years ago, and is part of the Probus South Pacific organisation.

In turn, it is part of a global movement originally formed by UK Rotary in 1965 and its role in the retirement activity spectrum hasn’t changed but evolved.

We are a men’s club designed to build camaraderie and social confidence through shared experience.

Partners of members are invited to four monthly meetings and are encouraged to attend all outings which can range from theatre parties to a day at the races. You can find out more about our outings here.
